Yang Du is co-founder and head of the Resource Center at iMpact.

In today's fast-evolving world, the ability to adapt, communicate across cultures, and leverage international networks is more critical than ever for young professionals. Jerry Lou is the founding partner and CEO of Everpine Capital and professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Before he started Everpine Capital, he was managing director of Morgan Stanley Asia.

This presentation will explain how the work world will be impacted by AI and how students should be prepared for this profound transformation. Conservative estimates indicate 30% of task volumes across 60% job roles could be automated by AI. AI will not eliminate humans, but rather those who are not willing to adapt to a changing environment.

The three guest lectures will be conducted in Chinese as a part of the guest lecture series arranged for the course: GCHN 283 "Reading and Viewing Modern China: A Bilingual and Multimedia Introduction" offered in Spring 2025. The event is organized and hosted by Professor Zhihong Chen who will be moderating the discussion with bilingual Q&A sessions. The event is co-sponsored by NYUSH-ECNU Center on Global History, Economy and Culture with the three student business clubs, Undergraduate Business Association, TAMID Group and Economics Society.

The entire NYU Shanghai community is welcome to attend.
